Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V), which rose 7.38% or 2.13 points to trade at 31.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) added 3.80% or 0.1480 points to end at 4.0460 and Kesko Oyj B (HEL:KESBV) was up 1.22% or 0.42 points to 34.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV), which fell 2.84% or 0.245 points to trade at 8.390 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) declined 2.53% or 0.72 points to end at 27.74 and Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) was down 1.73% or 0.43 points to 24.43.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 77 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 1.49% or 0.82 to $54.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.85% or 0.41 to hit $48.04 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.91% or 10.00 to trade at $1084.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.0977, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.7080.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 97.38.
