Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.73% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 0.38% or 0.12 points to trade at 31.60 at the close. Meanwhile, DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) fell 0.12% or 0.0200 points to end at 16.9800 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 0.13% or 0.04 points to 29.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 4.73% or 0.2580 points to trade at 5.2020 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 3.40% or 1.03 points to end at 29.29 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was down 3.05% or 0.17 points to 5.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 42 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.55% or 1.85 to $70.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.51% or 2.35 to hit $64.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.36% or 16.30 to trade at $1184.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1341, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8930.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.61.
