Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.02%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which rose 2.06% or 0.85 points to trade at 42.16 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 1.87% or 0.96 points to end at 52.32 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.18% or 1.00 points to 85.46 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 12.78% or 0.5130 points to trade at 3.5020 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 4.28% or 0.62 points to end at 13.97 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 4.17% or 1.30 points to 29.91.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 53 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; up 1.18% or 1.00 to 85.46.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.71% or 1.70 to $60.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 3.43% or 1.85 to hit $52.16 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1315.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1357, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 96.232.
