Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.35% or 1.08 points to trade at 81.00 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 0.81% or 0.21 points to end at 26.01 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.42% or 0.11 points to 26.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 1.93% or 0.76 points to trade at 38.54 at the close. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 1.61% or 0.3000 points to end at 18.3900 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 1.49% or 0.30 points to 19.84.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 79 to 71 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.90% or 1.16 to $62.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.87% or 1.53 to hit $54.84 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1310.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.09% to 1.1420, while EUR/GBP fell 0.02% to 0.8743.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 95.600.
