Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which rose 3.64% or 0.137 points to trade at 3.905 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 2.02% or 0.58 points to end at 29.26 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 1.70% or 0.09 points to 5.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 2.68% or 0.235 points to trade at 8.530 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 1.99% or 0.280 points to end at 13.800 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 1.85% or 0.74 points to 39.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 76 to 67 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.85% or 0.74 to 39.20.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.30% or 0.22 to $72.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.63% or 0.43 to hit $67.83 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.67% or 8.30 to trade at $1222.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1694, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8928.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.41.
