Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.48%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.94% or 0.4150 points to trade at 7.4050 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 3.57% or 0.215 points to end at 6.235 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 2.60% or 0.290 points to 11.430 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which fell 0.58% or 0.26 points to trade at 44.28 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 0.17% or 0.06 points to end at 34.44 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.12% or 0.04 points to 33.89.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 86 to 51 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.39% or 0.68 to $49.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.65% or 0.76 to hit $46.80 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.51% or 18.78 to trade at $1223.52 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.1364, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.8771.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 95.93.
