Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOK1V), which rose 2.63% or 0.160 points to trade at 6.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HEL:NDA1V) added 2.41% or 0.270 points to end at 11.490 and Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) was up 2.41% or 0.63 points to 26.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 3.05% or 0.1380 points to trade at 4.3800 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) declined 0.22% or 0.05 points to end at 22.81 and Valmt (HEL:VALMT) was down 0.20% or 0.02 points to 10.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 126 to 44 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.50% or 0.95 to $62.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 3.03% or 1.80 to hit $57.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.50 to trade at $1169.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.1083, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.7098.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.55% at 96.28.
