Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.86% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 4.70% or 0.226 points to trade at 5.030 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 3.16% or 0.270 points to end at 8.825 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 2.56% or 0.086 points to 3.450 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 0.99% or 0.31 points to trade at 31.09 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) declined 0.27% or 0.11 points to end at 40.00 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 0.10% or 0.04 points to 40.33.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 120 to 50 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.01% or 0.49 to $49.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.58% or 0.28 to hit $48.90 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.62% or 7.65 to trade at $1221.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1153, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.7593.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 95.48.
