Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.66% or 0.60 points to trade at 36.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.55% or 0.1400 points to end at 9.1800 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 1.45% or 0.63 points to 44.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 1.17% or 0.07 points to trade at 6.34 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.09% or 0.51 points to end at 46.30 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 0.59% or 0.23 points to 38.99.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 82 to 56 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 1.85% or 0.95 to $52.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 2.01% or 0.97 to hit $49.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.41% or 5.15 to trade at $1250.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.0753, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8666.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 99.92.
