Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.78% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 2.50% or 0.42 points to trade at 17.24 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 2.11% or 0.14 points to end at 6.54 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.08% or 1.02 points to 49.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 1.55% or 0.84 points to trade at 53.38 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.69% or 0.22 points to end at 31.73 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 0.62% or 0.14 points to 22.57.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 47 and 11 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.25% or 0.17 to $68.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.65% or 0.40 to hit $62.03 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1320.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.2069, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 91.63.
