Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 3.02% or 0.295 points to trade at 10.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.02% or 0.2150 points to end at 7.3350 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.89% or 0.190 points to 6.775 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 0.81% or 0.30 points to trade at 36.62 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) declined 0.69% or 0.026 points to end at 3.750 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 0.38% or 0.20 points to 52.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 78 to 67 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.70% or 1.06 to $63.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.15% or 0.65 to hit $57.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1249.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1763, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 93.90.
