Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.10% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 4.13% or 0.250 points to trade at 6.310 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.82% or 0.120 points to end at 6.730 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.71% or 0.210 points to 12.510 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 5.39% or 1.97 points to trade at 34.58 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.05% or 0.19 points to end at 17.87 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 0.91% or 0.19 points to 20.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 71 to 71 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.19% or 0.11 to $57.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1284.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1791, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8936.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 93.30.
