Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 2.31%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX), which rose 2.63% or 0.64 points to trade at 25.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BR:COLR) fell 0.25% or 0.11 points to end at 43.60 and Sofina (BR:SOF) was down 0.44% or 0.60 points to 136.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which fell 2.83% or 2.49 points to trade at 85.53 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) declined 2.70% or 2.540 points to end at 91.640 and Telenet Group (BR:TNET) was down 2.64% or 1.60 points to 59.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 79 to 30 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.83% or 2.49 to 85.53.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.63% or 8.30 to $1322.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.55% or 0.96 to hit $60.83 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.33% or 0.87 to trade at $64.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.2242, while EUR/GBP fell 0.46% to 0.8795.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 90.20.
