The investment seeks capital appreciation. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in a diversified portfolio of equity investments in small-cap issuers with public stock market capitalizations (measured at the time of purchase) within the range of the market capitalization of companies constituting the Russell 2000® Value Index at the time of investment.
