Agra Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the agricultural retail and wholesale business in Namibia. It operates in four segments: Retail and Wholesale, Auctions, Rental, and ProVision. The company offers feeds, animal medicine and veterinary products, seeds, pesticides and fertilizers, agronomy equipment, building materials, hardware, water equipment, fuel, paint and accessories, tools, appliances, plumbing supplies, electrical, pool products, and other products, as well as fast food, coffee, bread cigarettes, groceries, cool drinks, snacks, ice, charcoal/wood, and camping. It also provides hunting and sports rifles, animal health products, hardware and gardening supplies, equestrian accessories, firearms, ammunition and telescopes, hunting camping and safari equipment, farming, outdoor and camping, personal grooming, home renovators, DIY enthusiasts. In addition, the company offers auction and liaison services of livestock and agricultural products; and measures the performance of various commercial and residential rental properties. Further, it provides research and technological advice, advice and support in sustainable resource utilization, livestock and pig production, horticulture, capacity development, hydroponics and aquaponics, research and development, animal health, animal nutrition and feeding plans, and solutions and advisory services; training and consulting services; and online diploma qualification services. The company was formerly known as Agra (Co-operative) Limited and changed its name to Agra Limited in February 2013. Agra Limited was founded in 1946 and is based in Windhoek, Namibia.
