Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , Hotels and Rubber sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were China Tv (TW:9928), which rose 9.98% or 0.50 points to trade at 5.51 at the close. Meanwhile, E-Lead Elec (TW:2497) added 9.88% or 3.00 points to end at 33.35 and Hiti Digital (TW:3494) was up 9.83% or 1.45 points to 16.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yu Foung Intl (TW:1438), which fell 8.71% or 0.39 points to trade at 4.09 at the close. Gourmet Master (TW:2723) declined 6.14% or 18.00 points to end at 275.00 and Choice Develop (TW:9929) was down 5.43% or 0.70 points to 12.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 410 to 325 and 112 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.69% or 0.34 to $49.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.78% or 0.39 to hit $50.13 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.40 to trade at $1229.20 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.33% to 32.537, while TWD/CNY rose 0.25% to 0.2017.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 95.21.
