U.S. tentatively approves adding Aer Lingus to airlines' alliance group

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Transportation Department on Monday said it had tentatively approved the proposed addition of Aer Lingus to the Oneworld alliance.

The carriers requested antitrust immunity to include Aer Lingus in the existing joint venture that includes American Airlines (O:AAL), British Airways, OpenSkies, Iberia, and Finnair (HE:FIA1S).
