Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.13%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Electrical & Electronic equipment and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.13%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which rose 5.96% or 164 points to trade at 2914 at the close. Meanwhile, Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) added 5.86% or 10.90 points to end at 197.00 and SMI (CS:SMI) was up 5.76% or 172 points to 3160 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI), which fell 5.98% or 8.25 points to trade at 129.75 at the close. LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) declined 4.72% or 120 points to end at 2420 and Taslif (CS:TSF1) was down 2.99% or 0.85 points to 27.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 21 and 9 ended unchanged.

Shares in SMI (CS:SMI) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.76% or 172 to 3160.

Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.12% or 0.06 to $48.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.14% or 0.07 to hit $51.67 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.45 to trade at $1228.55 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.08% to 10.7520, while USD/MAD rose 0.13% to 10.0074.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.13.
