Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 3.03%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 3.03% to hit a new 3-months low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which fell 0.76% or 1.8 points to trade at 234.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) fell 0.93% or 3.2 points to end at 341.9 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) was down 1.82% or 11.0 points to 593.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which fell 9.02% or 770 points to trade at 7770 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 8.58% or 760 points to end at 8100 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was down 6.30% or 16.2 points to 240.8.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 135 to 19 and 10 ended unchanged.

Shares in Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.30% or 16.2 to 240.8.

Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.00% or 1.43 to $46.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 2.90% or 1.42 to hit $47.62 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.19% or 2.45 to trade at $1324.85 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.72% to 6.7430, while EUR/DKK fell 0.08% to 7.4370.

The US Dollar Index was up 0.91% at 96.50.
