Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.72%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.72%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which rose 1.08% or 2.0 points to trade at 181.8 at the close. Meanwhile, GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) added 0.65% or 2.5 points to end at 385.0 and Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) was up 0.12% or 0.2 points to 166.7 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which fell 4.62% or 122.0 points to trade at 2519.0 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 3.11% or 6.6 points to end at 205.3 and Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM) was down 1.91% or 13.2 points to 679.0.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 96 to 56 and 18 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.12% or 0.2 to 166.7.

Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.28% or 0.20 to $71.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.15% or 0.11 to hit $74.53 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.58% or 10.25 to trade at $1786.95 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.17% to 6.5725, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4358.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 96.078.
