Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.05%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Personal & Household Goods, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 0.05%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 2.43% or 10.5 points to trade at 443.2 at the close. Meanwhile, FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) added 1.82% or 7.2 points to end at 402.2 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 1.43% or 6.8 points to 482.8 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which fell 3.24% or 12.3 points to trade at 367.7 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 2.22% or 200 points to end at 8815 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was down 1.75% or 166 points to 9298.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 60 to 54 and 26 ended unchanged.

Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.22% or 200 to 8815. Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.75% or 166 to 9298.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.30% or 1.43 to $63.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.07% or 1.37 to hit $67.42 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.60 to trade at $1312.20 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.61% to 6.0756, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4489.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 89.89.
