Breaking; U.S. House of Representatives Impeaches President Donald Trump

Investing.com - The U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump Wednesday. The vote was expected and had little effect on the financial markets. But trading had been fairly quiet during the regular session in anticipation of any vote in Congress.
- The Democratic-led House voted along party lines (230 to 197 with 1 voting present) in favor of the first article of impeachment: abuse of power.
- It also voted (229 to 198 with 1 present) to impeach the president on the second article: obstruction of Congress.
- It remains unlikely Trump will be removed from office by the Republican-led Senate.
- S&P 500 Futures were flat. The dollar index was also flat and the 10-year yield was at 1.906%.
