Vitalik Buterin Became a Citizen of Montenegro
The Montenegro’s government has started its journey of becoming the blockchain innovation hub by giving Ethereum’s founder, Vitalik Buterin, the passport of Montenegro. Buterin will help the southeastern European nation to become attractive to inverstors and integrate the blockchain technology.
During the ‘Future Now!’ debate hosted by Montenegr’s finance minister Milojko Spajić on April 7th, Buterin, Spajić and other officials discussed about the legaility of blockchain, smart contracts and other topics.
Another local news outlet ‘Media’ stated that during a meeting on April 4th, Buterin and other government officials boarded the most important topic – how to regulate cryptocurrency in Montenegro.

“Montenegro strives to become a center of innovation in blockchain technology with an emphasis on all the advantages of a legitimate industry that will bring attractive regulations.” A photo of Buterin receiving his new passport, was shared by the Minister of Finance and Social Wellfare, Milojko Spajić.
