US CoinFlip ATMs to Allow Dash Transactions

Illinois-based cryptocurrency ATM operator CoinFlip has partnered with Dash (DASH ) and will add the virtual coin to its ATM network in the US, Dash said in a statement on Monday.

The companies did not specify when crypto users will be able to make Dash transactions through CoinFlip.

The integration of Dash in CoinFlip’s terminals will make the coin available in more than 175 ATMs in the US and just over 418 dispensers globally. According to CoinFlip’s web site, its network currently spans over more than 70 locations in the US, most of which offer buy-only cryptocurrency services, with a few allowing customers to sell coins as well.

“Working with CoinFlip is a key milestone for Dash as this single partnership now means we’ve almost doubled our ATM network overnight within the United States. This is a significant step in working toward achieving mainstream adoption,” said Dash head of business development Bradley Zastrow.

CoinFlip, whose ATMs currently work with Bitcoin (OMG ), decided to add Dash as it is among the biggest crypto coins by market cap and is often used for payments and e-commerce, commented Daniel Polotsky, CEO of the ATM operator. Thus, CoinFlip hopes it will push its expansion on a global scale, he said.

In connection with the new partnership, the two companies announced a lottery which will award one $1,000 and ten $100 cash prizes over a period of three months. Everyone who creates and maintains a CoinFlip account will take part in the lottery, where every transaction on a CoinFlip ATM acts as an additional entry.

Moreover, there will be no transaction fees on Dash purchases for a limited period.
