Stellar Lumens (XLM) Technical Analysis: IBM to Demo Blockchain World Wire at Sibo Conference Soon, Golden Crossover Likely

Stellar Lumens (XLM) reigns supreme over the top-10 cryptocurrencies today, with a 2.70% gain against BTC while many others struggle to break into the green. In six days’ time, IBM (NYSE:IBM) is scheduled to demo their latest cross-border payments system, ‘Blockchain World Wire (BWW), at the Sibos conference in Sydney. The BWW system, which debuted last month, is powered by Steller's blockchain technology and is a direct rival to Ripple’s xRapid system. A major difference between the two competitors is that IBM’s BWW will be able to facilitate cross-border payments using any cryptocurrency as the medium of exchange, whereas xRapid is only operable with Ripple’s own XRP virtual currency.

This hugely promising development is another monumental milestone for both the Stellar network and overall mainstream blockchain adoption, as IBM reports it currently ‘runs over 60% of the world's transactional systems’, has a clientele consisting of 97% of the world’s largest banks and its own mainframes process over 90% of all global credit card transactions.
