Porsche Showcases First-Ever NFT Collection at Art Basel in Miami Beach

Art Basel is the most popular international art fair, which provides the opportunity for NFT artists to showcase their work and get some much-needed inspiration. This time the NFT artists are joined by the legendary German carmakers Porsche, as the luxury car company presents its first-ever NFT collection, all derived from a truly iconic piece of art – the White Porsche 911.

For this NFT collection, the German carmaker Porsche teamed up with 3D digital artist Patrick Vogel, who is also the founder of the ALT/SHIFT audiovisual studio. The Porsche NFT collection will feature 7,500 NFTs in total. All of the NFTs are designed by the Hamburg-based 3D artist Vogel, but NFT enthusiasts can customize their purchases by selecting from over 150,000 design combinations.

This includes traits from categories like Lifestyle, Heritage, and Performance. Furthermore, NFT fanatics will be able to mint three NFTs each and can check out their brand new digital Porsche in the metaverse, which is powered by Unreal Engine 5.

Besides, this year’s edition of Art Basel in Miami Beach will also see the larger-than-life sculpture called “Dream BIG” from the series “The Art Of Dreams.” Built by architect Chris Labrooy, the installation is a monument to childhood dreams and features an enlarged ‘inner child’ playing with the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S as if it was a toy.

Ultimately, the thought-provoking sculpture raises the question of how important it is to follow your dreams and stay in tune with the inner child. As described by Robert Ader, the chief marketing officer of the company, “Porsche embodies the fulfillment of dreams. With our ‘the Art of Dreams’ initiative, we want to inspire people to do just that – to dream.”
