Mohawk Industries, Inc. (NYSE:MHK) is slated to report fourth-quarter 2018 results on Feb 7. The company missed earnings estimates in two and met expectations in one of the last four quarters, with average negative surprise of 3.8%. In fact, in the last reported quarter, the company’s earnings and revenues missed the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 8.4% and 2.6%, respectively. The bottom line also decreased 12.3% year over year. The results were negatively impacted by input cost inflation, higher transportation costs, a stronger dollar and tight labor market. Softening market conditions and declining product mix also added to the woes.
