When a Swedish-owned tanker sailing through the Strait of Hormuz under the British flag was not the first time oil markets have essentially ignored threats to oil distribution in the Persian Gulf this spring and summer. As oil prices continue to shrug off rising geopolitical tensions in the epicenter of the Middle-Eastern oil trade, traders want to know if and when it will start to impact the markets.
