Russian Angst Hits Dow

U.S. stocks slid on concern that Russia's problems could slow global growth, possibly prompting the Federal Reserve to account for such headwinds in its statement on interest rates and monetary policy due out on Wednesday. At the close of U.S. trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 111.97 points, or 0.7%, to 17,068.87.
