Stock markets around the world have collectively tumbled so far this year. Still, Latin America and Africa shares are notable exceptions, based on a set of ETFs tracking the major equity regions through yesterday’s close (Jan. 19).

Selling has swept much of the world’s equities year to date, but iShares Latin America 40 ETF (NYSE:ILF) is an upside outlier. After a weak start in the new year, the fund has rallied and is now up 6.7% in 2022.
