U.S. Stocks Higher After Friday's Close

U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher. At the close in NYSE, the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.40%, while the S&P 500 index gained 0.39%, and the NASDAQ Composite index climbed 0.29%. The best performers of the session on the Dow Jones Industrial Average were EI du Pont de Nemours and Company (NYSE:DD), which rose 1.57% or 0.83 points to trade at 53.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Cisco Systems Inc (NASDAQ:CSCO) added 1.15% or 0.33 points to end at 29.03 and General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) was up 1.12% or 0.29 points to 26.08 in late trade.
