- Boston Scientific Corp. (NYSE:BSX) surged 7.4% following a report by the Wall Street Journal that rival Stryker Corp (NYSE:SYK) has offered a bid to buy the company
- Sempra Energy’s (NYSE:SRE) shares jumped 15.5% following the news that activist investors Elliot Management and Bluescape Resources have suggested a “value creation” strategy for the company
- Shares of Adient plc (NYSE:ADNT) plunged 15.6% after projecting yearly adjusted EBITDA of around $1.25 billion for fiscal 2018, lower than previous estimate of $1.40 billion to $1.45 billion
