Bond Yield Sends Shock Waves

Thursday's yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury Note broke out to new highs. The yield was trading higher by 7.1 basis points to 1.861%, which means that bond prices are falling sharply as yields rise. The chart pattern on the 10-year note yield is signaling a move to the 1.92 percent level, so there's more upside in the cards.

Remember that the 10-year yield has a direct impact on mortgages and most other loans.
