4 Rising Stocks: BLFS, GBTC, HUYA, TNDM

BioLife Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:BLFS) has been a power house since the end of March when it was trading at 4 1/2-3/4 is now trading at 21. That’s basically more than a 4-fold increase in a little over 90 days. It recently came out of a tight flag or wedge, broke out after two narrow days on low volume, and popped and ran up 1.17, or 6%, to 20.96, on 106,614 shares traded, on Monday. The longer-term, resistant target would be about 23 1/2. On a long-term basis that’s because of the high back in 2013. If it gets through there, it could very well accelerate to the high 20’s.
Bitcoin Investment Trust (OTC:GBTC) may have turned the corner on Monday. It jumped 1.06, or 11%, to 10.30, on 3 million shares. That’s pretty good volume for this stock. What I’ll be watching, and what you should be watching for going forward is 10.60-65. If it gets through that, you’re likely to see 12, 13, maybe even much higher than that. This could be a right-handed, extended V. Your stop should be under 8.85.
HUYA Inc (NYSE:HUYA) is a really nice-looking pattern. I decided I liked it enough to put a swing trade on it on Monday. The falling wedge broke, it popped out, pulled back, had a nice reversal engulfing bar and 2 days of mini wedging on low volume today. It picked up steam, but I want to see it get through 40 to really get it going. The target is 45 and 50.
Tandem Diabetes Care Inc (NASDAQ:TNDM) is one of the best stocks all year. Now, another breakout to a new all-time high at 27.25. It closed at 26.93, up 1.04, or 4%, on 3.3 million shares. My target was 30, beyond that I’m looking for mid-to-high 30’s.
Stocks on the long side included Arconic, Inc. (ARNC), BioLife Solutions, Inc. (BLFS), Deutsche Bank (DE:DBKGn) (DB), Bitcoin Investment Trust (GBTC), Huya, Inc. (HUYA), Keurig Dr Pepper, Inc. (KDP), Noodles and Company (NDLS), Natera, Inc. (NTRA), NovoCure Limited (NVCR), Imping, Inc. (PI), Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc. (TNDM), and ZTO Express (Cayman), Inc. (ZTO).
On the short side, stocks included Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ALNY), Arch Coal, Inc. (ARCH), Daqo New Energy Corp. (DQ), SMART Global Holdings, Inc. (SGH), Tailored Brands, Inc. (TLRD), LendingTree, Inc. (TREE), Valmont Industries, Inc. (VMI), and Weibo Corporation (WB).
