Chinese Cobalt Cathodes Price Falls For Third Week Running

The week’s biggest mover on the weekly Renewables MMI® was the price of Chinese cobalt cathodes, which saw a 2.4 percent decline. This week marked the third in a row of declining prices for the metal.

The price of silicon remains unchanged since last week. The week finished with no movement for neodymium.

Japanese steel plate traded sideways last week. Prices for Korean steel plate remained constant. Chinese steel plate prices held steady from the previous week as well, but the price of US steel plate rose 0.9 percent after falling 0.4 percent during the previous week.

The price of US grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) rose 9.0 percent this month.
